Fillmore Music Hall (Silver Spring, MD) - Lee Development Group, Live Nation
Project Architect and Interior Designer for SD-DD phases for the renovation / adaptive reuse of a 1940’s JCPenney building into a 30,000 sf music venue.
Includes performance hall, food service, green room and an office space. Project accompanied by a 327,000 sf mixed-use office and hotel complex. Seeking LEED certification. Groundbreaking fall 2010. Currently under construction.
Hu's Shoes of Georgetown
Hu's Shoes of Georgetown (Washington, DC)- Marlene Hu Aldaba
Project Architect and Interior Designer for the SD-PD (permit document) stages of this 800 sf highendshoe store located in Georgetown. Tasked with converting a run-down used clothing storewithin a historic retail storefront into a high-end women’s shoe store with a chic, minimal modernflare. Designed custom-built powder coated steel displays used throughout. Project completed for under $60K. www.husshoes.com
Main’s Coffee Shop
Main’s Coffee Shop (Middletown, MD) - Bob Brenengen
Project and Design Architect for SD-CD pricing set phases. Challenged with the adaptive re-use of a dilapidated 9,000 sf National and State historical industrial building and master planning for a new town square. The design program focused upon the transformation of a former butcher and slaughterhouse into a coffee shop and restaurant. Design approved by National and State Historic.
The Birchmere
The Birchmere (Silver Spring, MD) - Lee Development Group, Birchmere
Project Architect and Interior Designer for SD-DD phases for the proposed renovation / adaptive reuse of a 1940’s JCPenney building into a 30,000 sf resturant and music venue. Includes performance dining hall, food service, seating for approximatly 150 patrons, green rooms and office space. Project accompanied by a 327,000 sf mixed-use office and hotel complex. Seeking LEED certification. Project scrapped after DD planning phase and prelim pricing set.
