2300 Ontario Rd. (Washington, DC) rad designs project
Project Architect, Construction Manager and Carpenter for DD-CA phases for the extensive renovation and conversion of a 1908 single family Rowhouse in Adams Morgan into 2 legally separated units totaling 1,800 sf. Navigated DC’s permitting, inspection and C of O processes firsthand. Renovation work included extensive historic masonry repair, structural repair, basement excavation, underpinning, conversion of basement into a 1 bedroom apartment, and redundant waterproofing. Scope of work also included the replacement of all utility systems, appliances, windows, doors and skylights. Numerous custom design elements and finishes are found throughout including a staircase finished with reclaimed ceiling joists and pittcon reveals.

Kenyon Street Apartments. (Washington, DC) in collaberation with Roell Architects
Kenyon Street Apartments contains 8 units, each with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and views of a private garden courtyard. Rad Designs was contracted by Roell Architects to supply drafting services, elevation design development and general design services. Built upon an existing single family house with a large side yard the new structure consumes the original house and projects a new modern expression that is in tune with the rapidly changing main street of Georgia Ave. NW. The collaboration between the two firms produced a successful project outcome and a high degree of client satisfaction.
