Pinhole Camera - A camera based on Pinhole photographic techniques

The shape and function of the human eye inspire the Pinhole camera designed in this project. Here the eyeball becomes an 8" dia. wooden sphere made of cherry, which houses the cameras simple components. Aluminum plates and legs incorporated into the sphere produce a locking system that allows for the camera to be dismantled and reassembled. All parts for the camera have been fabricated by myself and have contributed greatly to my knowledge of metal and plastic machining, wood lave work and laser CAM cutting production.
Spider Puzzle
Spider - laser cutter experiment rad designs project
This project was an independent self-training exercise used to explore the use of a computer aided laser cutting machine. The spider model went through several rounds of design and refinement to get to the final product presented. The components, which make up the spiders body, fit together with slot friction connections; no glue is used. Approximately 75 of these 3D spider models would be mass produced for a Halloween costume party.
